Electrical Retail Wholesale Business For Sale

Location: Enfield
Category: Wholesale & Distribution Businesses
Tenure: No Premises
Purchase Price: £2600

I set this business up but have changed my mind as its not really what i want to do.

This only requires 1 person at the start.

The main part of the business is to supply brand named 'Starter Sets' of electrical products to people. Ideal for students, short stay visitors, land lords etc.

The current set I have put together is:

George Foreman 'Next Grilleration' Health Grill
Russell Hobbs 2000W Vacuum
Home-Tek Steam Iron
Kenwood S/S Cordless Kettle
Kenwood 4 Slice Toaster
Kenwood 3 Litre Water Filter

Cost to buy in: £109inc
Sell at : £158.50inc
Profit per set: £49.50

Most products you sell will be 'Factory Graded' This means the box may be damaged or they may have a slight cosmetic mark on them, however they are all sold with a return to manufacturer warranty. They are bought direct from the factory by the supplier I use.

I have also created 'Entertainment Sets' which comprise of Philips LCD TV's and audio equipment. All these products are sold as Brand New. You can sell the same 32" LCD TV for less than Tescos does and still make a profit!

As we are coming into summer i created garden sets comprising of lawn mowers and garden furniture. The garden furniture is new and the lawn mowers are graded.

I have found suppliers and worked out the best way to trade without having to buy £1000's worth of stock! However as you buy from 'Trade Only' suppliers there are minimum spends.

People can mix and match products should they not want everything a set offers.

I have created a website which pictures stock, specs, prices, terms & conditions and special offers.

Currently the website gets between 1 - 35 hits per day. I have only place about 3 adverts online but I have registered the site with the search engines.

This business is currently keyed towards London but only as thats where I live. It can easily be changed to somewhere else.

Included in the sale is £650 worth of stock that I bought but deemed not really suitable so as such I created a 'Wholesale Deals' page on the website. This stock is mainly Comet Returns and consists of Vacuums, digital cameras, computer accessories and small kitchen appliances. I have tested a lot of this stock and i'm happy to say that most of it works!

To sum up, this sale includes:

I am happy to host the website for free for 12 months but this would mean that any changes you wanted to make would have to be sent to me so that I could FTP them. Alternatively you can set up your own hosting account which will cost you less that £6 per month.

If you wanted me to make changes to the site we can come to an arrangement.

I have also lined up a company who supply merchant services at much better rates than the high street banks. They will also open a business bank account for you as well should you need one.

Once sold I will make any changes to the site for free regards to names, phone numbers etc.

All the new owner would need to do is marketing. Potentially you can make this business huge!

Once you start getting orders you will need to have money ready to buy stock. I will obviously explain everything to the new owner.

I have spent much time in the last 4 months on getting this business to the stage its at and have been comprehensive to cover every aspect.

I am in the service industry and decided to try something new but have now decided retail isn't for me which is why i'm offering this to someone who can grow and profit from what I have put together.

Currently this business is not Limited and there is no bank account.

There has been a small interest from potential customers but as I mentioned before, I'm not marketing and I've decided to stick to the service industry.
